Shades of Green on WDW Resort is an Armed Forces Recreation Center located on the Walt Disney World property in Lake Buena Vista, Orlando, Florida.  With 586 oversized guest rooms, cascading waterfalls, lush tropical gardens, spectacular views from private patios and balconies amid stunning sunrises, two outdoor swimming pools, diverse dining options, two PGA Championship Golf Courses, plenty of kid’s activities, a premier location on Walt Disney World Resort, and much more, Shades of Green has all you are looking for in a totally relaxing vacation destination.

Formerly a Disney hotel until 1994, Shades of Green is located within walking distance of Disney’s Polynesian Resort, which sits on the WDW monorail line, and it also has complimentary bus services available to WDW parks.  Shades of Green guests are able to participate in the WDW park exclusive Extra Magic Hour benefits, otherwise an exclusive perk available solely to guests of the WDW hotels.  The hotel is also within driving distance of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, SeaWorld Orlando, and Lego Land Orlando (although the resort does not provide complimentary transportation to these theme parks).
